ATTU 654 - 3 Days Gorilla Adventure Safari

Day 1: Kampala - Bwindi
Depart from Kampala at 8:00am and head towards western Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator allows time for photographs. The journey affords images from the vehicle of the long horned Ankole cattle, the rolling hills and terraced landscapes of the region, and beautiful panoramas that are part of Kabale District. We have a lunch break en route at Lake View Regency Hotel Mbarara. Drive direct to the park and arrive late evening. Overnight at Lake Kitandara Luxury Tents/ Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking
Very early in the morning after an early breakfast and guides Very early in the morning after an early breakfast and guides briefing, set off for your Gorilla tracking activity in the forests of Bwindi. Gorilla tracking can be strenuous, you will need to carry a packed lunch, drinking water, wear comfortable boots or jungle shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes ,put on ear plugs for those who feel uncomfortable with jungle sounds and take a rain jacket. Walking sticks will be made available for those that require one by the park rangers. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara Luxury Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 3: Bwindi - Kampala
An early breakfast at the camp before the drive back to Kampala. Lunch en-route.

ATTU 656 - 8 Days Bwindi Gorilla and Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Entebbe - Kampala City
On arrival at the airport, you will be picked and taken to your proposed Hotel in Kampala. If your flight arrives in the morning you have to change your currency to local currency. Then get to know Kampala. You can visit some exciting places with the help of your driver/guide. These may include; Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, museum and many others. Dinner and overnight at Speke Hotel Kampala /Hotel Africana or Kampala bed and breakfast(Basic)

Day 2: Kampala - Bwindi
Take breakfast and depart to Bwindi, which is around an 8-hour drive. With a stop at the craft village at the equator and shopping, we continue to Mbarara for lunch and later pass through the beautiful evergreen mountain country that is, the "Little Switzerland of Uganda". Arrive at Bwindi late in the evening for dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara Tented accommodation (Luxury) or buhoma community Bandas(Basic)

Day 3: Bwindi - Gorilla Safaris
Early morning after breakfast, with your packed lunch, go for a briefing at 08:00 hours before beginning the trek. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable, so it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will take in the process. It may take 2-8 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. An encounter of these gentle giants will be your most exciting experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. After an encounter of a group of gorillas some with silver backs, one can say "a sight of Gorillas has made my life time tour" Later return for dinner and overnight at Lake Kitandara Tented accommodation (Luxury) or buhoma community Bandas(Basic)

Day 4: Bwindi - Queen Elizabeth
Having taken breakfast, you will be transfered to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is rich in wildlife and others call it a birder's paradise! Arrive through the famous Ishasha Sector, in anticipation of rewarding your cameras by seeing the tree-climbing lions. Check in this evening atmweya safari lodge/Jacana safari Lodge for luxury or Institute of Ecology for basic accommodation

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
At 0600hours, depart for a game drive in the Northern parts of the park along the Kasenyi track. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action.This early morning game drive in the park, provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography.Bird watching and game viewing is wonderful. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species recorded making it a magnet for bird watchers. Day 6: Queen Elizabeth NP - Kibale National Park.
Take breakfast, you may choose to explore Kyambura Wildlife Reserve driving through grassland area. Pass by the astonishing gorge of the tropical rainforest 100 meters deep. Trek into Kyambura River Gorge for an extra ordinary experience tracking chimpanzees. It's a lucrative experience not only to see the chimpanzees, but also to see the gorgeous river valley that houses numerous birds and butterfly species, then transfer to Kibale National Park, a proclaimed home of Primates. Dinner and overnight at Ndali safari Lodge(Luxury)or Kanyankyu ecological site(Basic)

Day 7: Kibale Chimp Trekking - Primate Walk
After breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale Forest N/P, for primate viewing.This park is known for the highest number of primate species in Africa. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. 2-3 hours search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. A visit to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site is amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Ndali safari Lodge or kanyankyu ecological site.

Day 8: Kibale - Kampala
Adventure the region, which has many crater lakes, and later proceed to Kampala with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at Speke Hotel / Hotel Africana or kampala Bed and Breakfast.

Note should be taken that we have got two types of Safaris, Some opt for Luxury Safari (lodges / hotels) and others opt for Budget Safaris (camping and simple accommodation).
